Dementia 101: Part 2 – Understanding, Communicating, and Caring

This Zoom workshop will build on the first Dementia 101 session, reviewing information and making time for questions and discussion. Designed to help build understanding, confidence, and compassion around what it means to live with dementia in community, this session will help you better understand what dementia is, how it affects behavior, and will offer practical tools you can use to help reduce the social isolation and stigma that is often experienced by people living with dementia.

The session will be led by Nephelie Andonyadis, a gerontologist, Certified Dementia Practitioner, Certified TimeSlips Trainer, and experienced leader of creative aging programs across DC. She is also President of the Board at Palisades Village. Whether you are a family member, volunteer, caregiver, or simply interested in learning more, this training offers information and insights for creating more meaningful connections.

If you are not able to access Zoom, you are invited to come to the Village Square to Zoom from there.

A Zoom link will be sent out to all participants.
