An easy, fun art/craft class for everyone—even people who think they can't draw.  This month, we will be making cyanotype prints.
Untitled by Bertha Evelyn Jaques @1900. National Gallery of Art

The simplest kind of cyanotype print is a photogram, made by arranging objects on sensitized (chemically treated) paper. Fresh or pressed plants are a typical subject, but any opaque or translucent object will create an image. Gather some objects from your home or garden and bring them with you.  You may want to wear old clothes, and we will provide gloves.  The process involves rinsing the prints in cold water to achieve the beautiful blue color.

Sunlight is required so if the weather is very dark, we will have an alternate project.
